A brand new pedestrian bridge has been installed as part of a £350 million development on Kirkstall Road.
The 56 metre bridge forms part of the plan to redevelop the former dye works site into a neighbourhood along the river. It took three days to install the bridge with West Yorkshire Highways also working on the project.
It was brought over in three parts from a factory in Doncaster and spliced together. A three hour operation, involving a thousand ton crane, helped lift the bridge into place.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?
