Well captured Leodian, It looks as though they have done away with the steel kerb. On the upside those full-width flags should make for better paths.

In view of the work seen in the photo that I took on May 1 2018 and posted on May 2 2018 I am confused by what is now seen when I took this photo on June 5 2018 as the very nice new flags seemed to have been covered over with old flags. It has not been easy to see what is going on and also to take photos of the work and when I was there recentlyish it did look as if some tar-like cover was being put over the new flags but it was hard to be sure but it now seems that could have been what happened. What a shame to cover the new laid flags (or have they been removed?).

Some work was still going on at Leeds Bridge when I went by there a couple of weeks back but passing by on July 31 2018 there was no work going on so it has ended, at least for now. Traffic was now using the side it had not been able to use for quite some time. Traffic is however now barred from using the side it had been using, so I assume work is due to start on that side. These are 3 photos I took on July 31 2018. It seemed that only cars moving away from Leeds are still allowed to use the road as I did not see any going the other way (no buses came while I was there so I don't know if buses can still go both ways under traffic lights control). The Leeds Coat of Arms plaque that was removed some while back has though been back in place for some weeks now.

Some work has now started on Leeds Bridge at the side of Bridge End that had not had work done before. It was though hard to take photos with the security fencing so this was the only 1 that I took by having to hold my camera right up against a metal security fence grid, so apologies for the poor quality. It was taken on August 21 2018 and shows a view from near lower Briggate looking along Bridge End to across Leeds Bridge.

This is a photo that I took on September 18 2018 of work going on at Leeds Bridge. Some now exposed rusty metal plates are well seen.

It looks like its going be a Forth Bridge job the time it is taking, they can throw up a concrete office block in the centre of Leeds quicker than that.

The major work on Leeds Bridge ended some weeks back but though I thought I had posted some more recent photos it seems I had not! These are 2 photos that I took on January 22 2019. I wonder what is behind the white sheeting that has appeared recently :?:

There is still some work going on at Leeds Bridge but most (if not all) seems now to have ended on the downriver side of the bridge. These are 2 photos that I took on April 24 2019. The first shows the decorative metal feature on the centre of the bridge on the downriver side and the second is a close-up of the Leeds Coat of Arms at the base of that feature. Both have recently been repainted so look colourful and clean for now!
