After following numerous threads on this site , following the history of land in the area , I hope I have taken in tons regarding the history of Roundhay , Asket Hall , Fearnville House etc , but now I hope to extend my knowledge of the Hollin Hill / Parks namesake ...
I have only two clues via google , that there are two hollin hill houses in the LS8 area , of which one will be of particular interest towards the higher asl of oakwood lane and the other lower down nearer the Mc'd's .... any further history will be more than welcome

Re: Hollin Hill LS8
Well Hollin derives from Holly thus a place where holly grew.rarely it can be a corruption of Holy denoting place of worship in times past.In the 2 quoted holly would be the most likely.
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!
