Yes I believe 900,000 metresw equates to about 60 miles or thereabouts, thats a ridiculously high elevation from that height you'd most likely be able to see the Mediterranean. Its also just a few miles short of the accepted altitude where the Earth's atmosphere ends and space begins (not that you can define any distinct point in the atmosphere where space begins.
