I used to use the bank in the 60's when I worked at Stanningley station.
My branch was the old City Sq branch so,before the days of cheque cards
I had "an arrangement" to cash cheques there.
It wasn't worthwhile changing branches because junior clerks got shifted anywhere
at short notice.Only when you got that first promotion did you have
a job to call your own.

Funnily enough this place was our office for Tyrell (administrators of SecretLeeds) for a while. It's an amazing building inside, still got the old safe in the cellar and everything. Bloody freezing though, and a bit creepy when you're in there by yourself! We're now happily ensconced in sunny Hawksworth Wood - building's not as architecturally interesting but it's a good deal warmer :)
