For those of us who are on Facebook, there is a link about the Library, under the heading - The Restoration of York Road Library. 40 photographs were added last week.

I went to schola at All Saint school just next to York Road Baths and learnt to swim there. I used to go there every week, often more than once a week. The changing g rooms were on either side of the pool with a balcony where they had tarpolin up for the boys to get changed behind. There was a wash house in the back of the building where my mum did her weekly washing with huge machines and tops at the wall for ironING. The only snacks the baths sold was oxo and bovril along with cheese biscuits that you could buy at a small window.
