[quote="tilly"]The white building in the first photograph was a tobacco wholesalers many years ago.It then turned into an antiques centre It was originally a Georgian ball room, when i was in there last there were still traces of decoration from the original building I wonder if there is a preservation order on this building on even a plaque outside?

Would that have been Hirsts ?.

This is a photo showing Waterloo House on Crown Street that I took on March 13 2018. The brown building on the right rear is fronting Assembly Street.

To think the Assembly Rooms were built only two years after the White Cloth Hall i think a blue plaque is warranted.I also think it should be listed its in an area prone to demolition if not listed it could be at risk.

I posted a photo in this thread on Dec 03, 2015 9:54 pm showing brickwork in the rear of Kirkgate in Crown Street Car Park. I took that photo on December 2 2015 and buffaloskinner kindly informed me it was taken where the Fox and Grapes Yard was. I have now added this photo of various brickwork that I took from Crown Street Car Park on April 9 2019. There are certainly some changes evident! This photo was taken close to where I took the other photo.
